General Description

Sewage Catchment:

• Lennox Head (including North Creek) and East Ballina.

Sewage Treatment:

• Lennox Head Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) constructed in 1982.

• IEAAS treatment process augmented by tertiary ponding (MHL769 1997).

Outfall:

• At the base of the cliff at Skennars Head. Two outlets are about 1m apart and partially buried in riprap with grills that face away from each other. At high water the outlets are fully submerged and at low water they are partially exposed.
